Sidewalk chalk

recycled toilet paper tubes or dixie cups

1 c. plaster of paris

almost 1/2 c. cool water

2-3  T. liquid acrylic paint

If using recycled toilet paper tubes, securely cover one end with plastic wrap or wax paper and secure with a rubber band.  Pour plaster of  paris in a disposable container, an old cool whip container works just fine. Using a paint stick (free from the paint store) or plastic utensil , stir in most of water. Add paint and mix well. Add a little more water as mixture thickens. Stir well and quickly pour into dixie cups or toilet paper tubes that have one end covered. Allow to dry 24 hours. Peel off paper and you have sidewalk chalk!
